The Construction Process: New Builds vs Renovations

Whether you're building a brand-new home or transforming an existing space, the construction process involves careful planning, coordination, and execution.

New Construction follows a linear process—starting from a blank site, progressing through design, council approvals, site preparation, and structured stages such as slab, frame, lock-up, and fit-off. It's a clean slate, which allows for more predictable timelines and fewer surprises.

Renovations, however, often involve working within the constraints of existing structures. The process may include demolition, structural modifications, and integration with current services, which requires more flexibility, detailed planning, and problem-solving as unforeseen conditions may arise once work begins.

While the end goal is the same—creating a beautiful, functional space—the journey is tailored to suit the type of project. Our team ensures both are managed with expertise and transparency, every step of the way.
