Pre-Renovation Phase

Initial Obligation Free Consultation

We begin with a no-obligation on-site consultation where we:

Discuss your renovation goals, budget, and vision
Assess your site conditions
Offer professional insights and recommendations

This meeting helps us understand your needs and determine if your project is viable within your expectations.

Preliminary Agreement for Consultation & Quoting

If you choose to proceed, we offer a comprehensive quoting service which includes:

Detailed site measure and assessment
Development of a tailored scope of works
Accurate, itemised quoting based on your selections and site conditions
Liaison with suppliers as needed
Expert guidance on budgeting and design decisions

Note: A formal agreement outlining this service will be signed prior. This fee is credited toward your build if you go ahead with us.

Design & Drafting (if required)

If your project includes layout changes, extensions, or structural alterations, a detailed design and drafting service will be required. This includes:

Preparation of design concepts
Drafting of floor plans and elevations
Coordination with any necessary consultants

Further engineering and council approvals (if applicable) will follow, with fees detailed in your full quote.

Selections & Supplier Visits

To ensure accuracy in pricing and alignment with your style:

You’ll visit our trusted suppliers to select materials, fixtures, and fittings.
These selections are factored into your final quote for precision and transparency.

Final Quotation & Contract Signing

We’ll present your detailed quote, including:

Itemised costs
Clear timeline expectations
Breakdown of additional fees (e.g. engineering, approvals)

Once approved, we sign the construction contract and schedule your works.

Construction & Project Management

Our team manages the entire build:

Regular communication and updates
Respectful tradespeople and tidy work sites
Progress inspections and quality control

Deposit Paid

A deposit is paid as outlined in your contract. This payment allows us to commence ordering materials, locking in trades, and preparing for the next steps.

Council Certification and Approvals (If applicable)

We handle the submission of plans for building approval and certification. This ensures your project complies with local council regulations and relevant building codes.

Site Ready

With approvals in place, finances sorted, and selections complete, your renovation is now ready for construction to begin.

Construction Phase

Site Preparation & Safety Setup

Site is cleared and prepared for work.
Safety measures and site signage are installed.
Dust and floor protection are laid to protect existing areas of your home.

Demolition

Existing fixtures, fittings, and structures scheduled for removal are carefully demolished.
Waste is removed from the site in an organised and environmentally responsible way.

Structural Works (if applicable)

Framing, wall removals, or any major structural changes are completed.
Engineers may inspect key structural elements if required.

Rough-In Stage

Plumbing and electrical rough-ins are completed by licensed trades.
HVAC or other services are roughed in (if part of the project).

Framing Inspection & Compliance Check

A building inspection may occur at this point to ensure all framing and rough-ins meet code and standards before closing up walls.

Sheeting, Plastering & Wall Finishes

Internal walls and ceilings are sheeted and plastered.
Set, sand and finish coats are applied in preparation for painting.

Tiling & Waterproofing

Wet areas (bathrooms, laundries, kitchens) are waterproofed and tested.
Tiling is completed according to your selected designs and layouts.

Fit-Off Stage

Cabinets, vanities, and joinery are installed.
Plumbing and electrical fixtures (like taps, lighting, appliances) are fitted.
Doors, hardware, and trims are completed.

Painting & Final Finishes

Interior and exterior painting is carried out.
Final details such as silicone, door stops, and trim adjustments are completed.

Cleaning & Quality Assurance

A full site clean is performed.
Our team conducts a quality check to ensure everything meets our standards and your expectations

Post Construction Phase

Final Walkthrough & Client Handover

We walk you through the completed renovation to ensure every aspect meets your expectations.
Any outstanding touch-ups or adjustments (defects list) are noted and scheduled promptly.
You’ll receive keys (if applicable), appliance manuals, and guidance on how to care for new materials.

Handover Documentation

You’ll be provided with a comprehensive handover pack including:

Warranties and certificates of compliance
Product and appliance manuals
Maintenance recommendations
Final contract variations and invoicing summaries

Defects Liability Period

All work completed by A-Master Construction is covered by a defects liability period as per your contract.
If any issues arise during this time, simply contact us—we’ll inspect and rectify them promptly.

Client Support & Ongoing Care

We’re available to answer questions or provide assistance after handover.
Need additional work, upgrades, or changes in future? As an existing client, you’ll receive priority scheduling and continued support.
